A formal agreement is not required with the student’s school. The company's goal is to relate employment opportunities to the student's academic studies and enhance the student's academic training, practical experience, professional growth, and personal development.

Our co-op/internship position will assist the Enterprise Operations Human Resources team with numerous initiatives related to Human Resources and provide a realistic job preview of the HR Business Partner. The role will also provide ownership and exposure to special projects with longer-term impact to the business, providing the student insight into different levels of the organization and various HR Center of Excellence (COE) such as Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, employee engagement, organizational design & culture, Total Rewards, data analytics, and more

What You Will Do 

  • Working directly with senior managers and HR leadership to support their organizational needs
  • Managing requests from Collins/RTX Corporate and assisting with various needs
  • Partnering Total Rewards and Global People services on Compensation analysis, salary planning, and incentive pay coordination
  • Conducting analysis on data
  • Supporting the RTX Ops rotational program for Collins related activities
  • Active involvement with the Employee Pulse Survey data analysis and action planning activities
  • Support leadership onboarding activities
  • Participating in org design and change plan activities
  • Play an active role in Ops talent reviews  
  • Assist managing talent council activities for SIOP and EH&S

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master’s Degree in a technical field such as, but not limited to Human Resources Management Industrial/Organizational Psychology

  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
