Job Description:

Working alongside experienced operational and technical teams, you will develop your analytical, strategic, and leadership capabilities while contributing to projects that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and commercial performance. Whether your future career path leads into operations, service leadership, engineering support, or commercial management, you will gain valuable experience across multiple areas of the business.

An interest in engineering, technical industries, or heavy equipment is advantageous, but we welcome graduates from a wide range of degree disciplines who demonstrate the right mindset, behaviours, and potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain an understanding of Finning's service operations and the end-to-end customer lifecycle.

  • Support operational teams in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality service solutions to customers.

  • Analyse operational performance data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement specifically around commercial optimisation.

  • Contribute to projects focused on improving customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business performance.

  • Work collaboratively with service, engineering, technical, and commercial teams to deliver business objectives.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, standardisation, and digital transformation activities.

  • Assist in developing business insights and recommendations for transformational growth based on operational and customer data.

  • Participate in problem-solving activities and help identify practical solutions to operational challenges.

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business and develop an understanding of how different functions work together.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project updates.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Education

  • Degree qualified (Level 6 or equivalent) in any discipline.

  • Strong commercial awareness and an interest in understanding how operational performance impacts customer outcomes and business success.

  • Analytical and data-driven problem-solving ability.

Experience

No prior full-time work experience is required. Relevant experience may include:

  • Industrial placements, internships, vacation work, or part-time employment.

  • Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

  • Leadership roles in academic, sporting, volunteering, or extracurricular activities.

  • Project work involving analysis, problem-solving, or process improvement.

  • Experience working collaboratively within teams to achieve shared goals.
