Department Overview
The Motorola Solutions Electrical Engineering team, based in Schaumburg, IL, specializes in designing and developing world-class digital solutions for the Mission Critical Communications market, including Public Safety. The Electrical Engineering development team develops state-of-the-art Digital, RF, Mechanical, and Power Supply solutions to meet their customers’ needs.
Job Description
A summer internship position with a primary focus on FPGA design for Infrastructure products. The position seeks a highly motivated individual to work under the guidance of a seasoned professional to assist design analysis and validation of the RF Site product development.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Development of the FPGAs includes capturing requirements
Writing code in C, VHDL and Verilog languages
Writing test scripts in Python, using diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems, and documenting device interface specifications.
Understanding Digital design and performing interfacing analysis to the FPGAs is a must
Bench-level testing using an Oscilloscope, DC PS, and multimeter is required.
Basic Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering
Must graduate date on or after December 2027
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for master 's-level students)
