Financial Crimes Wealth Governance and Program Oversight, Sr Associate
Who we are looking for
We are seeking an experienced AML and Sanctions Senior Associate to support the AML & Sanctions governance and program management function for State Street Wealth Management. The Senior Associate will report to the Head of AML and Sanctions Program Governance for State Street Wealth Services. The role includes supporting the oversight, and ongoing enhancement of a variety of program functions, including but not limited to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the AML and Sanctions compliance policies, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements. Ongoing identification of inherent risk, assessment of controls, and determination of residual risks for State Street Wealth Services. Provide ongoing support for the establishment and oversight of governance structures, management reporting, and escalation frameworks. Support the review and assessment of new products, services, and business initiatives for AML and Sanctions compliance risks, ensuring alignment with regulatory obligations. Participate in projects related to changes to the AML governance or escalation framework including the design, implementation, and execution of controls to ensure process reliability and ensure documentation is comprehensive and up to date. Support the coordination of regulatory examinations, internal audits, and compliance testing programs to ensure program effectiveness and adherence to policies. Support the development and execution of the AML and Sanctions Compliance Training Program. Support the implementation of the quality assurance framework to monitor the effectiveness of the compliance program and drive continuous improvement. Support the management of the monthly reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a track record for successfully designing, implementing, and monitoring financial crimes compliance program frameworks in line with industry’s best practices.

What you will be responsible for
As a Senior Associate you will:
Support and maintain AML and Sanctions compliance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Support the establishment of governance structures, management reporting, and escalation frameworks.
Support the execution of the AML and Sanctions risk assessment to identify inherent risk, assess controls, and determine residual risks for State Street Wealth Services.

Support projects related to changes to the AML governance or escalation framework including the design, implementation, and execution of controls to ensure process robustness and reliability and ensure comprehensive documentation is up to date.
Support the coordination of regulatory examinations, internal audits, and compliance testing programs to ensure program effectiveness and adherence to policies.
Support the AML and Sanctions compliance training for State Street Wealth Services.
Support a quality assurance framework to monitor the effectiveness of the compliance program and drive continuous improvement.
Support the management of monthly reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or related field.
Experience in Financial Crimes Compliance (Anti-money Laundering/Sanctions), Audit, Risk Management, or Exam Management roles within financial services.
Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and audit processes.
Salary Range:
$52,000 - $87,880 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
