The Opportunity
This position works out of our Irvine, CA location in the Electrophysiology Medical Device division. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
In this role, you will be responsible for the reporting of Irvine’s monthly results, as well as assisting with budget cycles, and any ad hoc analysis requested from leadership. You will also be responsible for preparing financial presentations, participating in various projects or tasks, assisting with monthly financial closing activities, as well as preparing financial models and ad hoc analysis.
What You'll Work On
Budgeting and forecasting, cost center spend, headcount and capital
Participates in ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by finance management
Provides routine reports to leadership
Works with business partners to consolidate month-end analysis and provide commentary related to the financial close cycle
Executes annual goals and objectives as defined by the Finance team
Completes month-end activities including journal entry preparation, variance analysis and reporting
Complies with regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
2+ years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, forecasting, planning, and/or financial modeling
Advanced level of proficiency with Excel
Previous experience working with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience working with financial systems applications
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
Medical device experience
Experience with Hyperion Essbase, Dodeca, and/or SAP

The base pay for this position is
$81,500.00 – $141,300.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
