The Opportunity

We have an immediate opportunity for a CFS Finance Supervisor in our CP1 location. (i.e. Lake County, Abbott Park, IL)

As the CFS Finance Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of consolidated financial results for Abbott Diagnostics Division, which represents $4.5 billion in net sales.  This role is also responsible for the month-end close process, Sarbanes-Oxley internal control testing, and interactions with audit and tax, while ensuring strong and effective financial controls are in place and executed.

In addition to formal financial processes, this individual will be responsible for ad-hoc requests and will interact with finance professionals across all organizations and senior management.

What You'll Work On:

  • Support consolidation and preparation of corporate deliverables, including the Divisional Monthly Reporting Package and Supplemental Reporting Package.

  • Coordinate the month-end close process, assisting the organization as appropriate to ensure accurate results and financial records, including top-side HFM journal entries and tie-out of system data.

  • Consolidation of the total Core Diagnostics Income Statement and Balance Sheet commentary.

  • Responsible for testing key revenue recognition assumptions for the US businesses.

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Core Diagnostics global systems such as CCI/HFM, TM1 and Symphony SAP, providing support to users as first point of contact.

  • Maintain an effective system of internal financial controls. Responsible for testing key Sarbanes-Oxley controls for multiple organizations.

  • Interact with internal and external auditors, as well as Abbott Corporate Tax.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of progressive financial experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as this role interacts with domestic and international organizations within ADD, Shared Services in India (Genpact), Corporate, and ADD senior management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or MBA preferred. 

  • Audit experience preferred.

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • The individual must be highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.

  • Able to work under pressure, consistently meet deadlines and direct activities on several projects at one time.

  • Strong PC/system skills; specifically Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

The base pay for this position is

$86,700.00 – $173,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
