Boeing Aerospace OperationsBoeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to be a part of the Ft Walton Beach Engineering team. This position is an opportunity to help Boeing work everything from KC-130H Refueling Tankers to F-15 and F/A-18 fighter jets to V-22 rotorcraft, based out of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
In this exciting but challenging role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you can look forward to working at the intersection of design, tooling, process development, and production execution to improve how complex products are built. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, evaluate producibility, support tooling and work instruction definition, and troubleshoot issues that impact quality, cost, and schedule.
You’ll collaborate closely with design engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to drive process improvements, implement lean manufacturing practices, and support the delivery of safe, compliant, and high-quality products.
In this role you will have knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, and Business).
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies
Participate as a leader and member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions
Lead and assist with the implement of manufacturing plans
Assist in the development, identification and implementation of conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build
Resolve technical problems and assist in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
Leads and assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies
Work with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience related to product development (configuration management, design, integration, etc.)
5+ years of experience researching and implementing new technologies and innovative practices in manufacturing processes, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and quality in aerospace production
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience performing work per written documentation/authorities and knowledge of how release authority works
5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment, specifically loadable software and or equipment
5+ years of experience working with multi-functional teams/organizations
3+ years of experience with data analysis and / or process improvements
Experience with the following software PDM, CAPP, REDARS-EID, IVT, WIRS, EWITS, BWS-CM, CDS, EWIRE, E-PLAN, VELOCITY, ENOVIA, EWIRE, WIRS, Equipment Manager
