We are seeking an Enterprise Application Support Engineer to support and maintain a highly customized IBM Maximo environment and its supporting integration components within a mission-critical enterprise environment. This role focuses primarily on application sustainment, troubleshooting, integration support, patching, configuration, and operational support activities.   

The environment includes complex customizations, Java Server Pages (JSPs) Linux shell scripts, middleware configurations, and integrations with external workforce and enterprise systems. The selected candidate will work closely with developers, system administrators, database personnel, and customer stakeholders to maintain system stability, resolve technical issues, and support ongoing sustainment and modernization efforts. 

This position is well suited for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working directly with enterprise applications, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting system integrations. Candidates may range from junior-level professionals with strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn to mid-level engineers with demonstrated experience supporting enterprise applications and integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain a highly customized IBM Maximo environment and related enterprise integration components. 
  • Serve as technical liaison with the vendor, coordinating troubleshooting, issue resolution and implementation of vendor-recommended fixes and patches. 
  • Troubleshoot application, database, middleware, and infrastructure issues across development, test, and production environments. 
  • Analyze and troubleshoot Java Server Pages (JSPs), Linux shell scripts, configuration files, and integration components to identify and resolve system issues. 
  • Support and maintain interfaces between Maximo and external workforce and enterprise systems. 
  • Perform application patching, upgrade, and configuration activities using IBM Installation Manager and related IBM tooling. 
  • Apply patches and security updates required to maintain compliance with security requirements and IAVA remediation efforts. 
  • Support WebSphere Application Server administration tasks, including reviewing and updating application server configurations and parameters. 
  • Execute SQL queries and troubleshoot database-related issues, including reviewing tables, updating data, and supporting minor schema changes. 
  • Assist with system deployments, testing, validation, and operational sustainment activities. 
  • Support Linux-based environments, including reviewing logs, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining operational scripts. 
  • Collaborate with technical teams and customer stakeholders to document issues, solutions, system configurations, and operational procedures. 
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities to improve system reliability and operational stability. 

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph   
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university and fourteen (14) years of demonstrable experience is required. Five (5) years of additional technical experience on projects with similar hardware/software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. 
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Willingness to learn and develop strong understanding new technologies and products.
  • Experience developing and updating technical documentation including system architecture diagrams.  
  • Experience working with end-user customers.
  • Must be able to work between the core hours of 10AM-2PM. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $185,000-$215,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
