The Engineer Lead Sr, FDE is responsible for leading end-to-end application system development and maintenance for large, complex, enterprise-wide technology platforms.
LOCATION: Hybrid 2: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

How you will make an impact:
Lead integration of FDG solutions across enterprise applications, APIs, data, identity, and legacy platforms.
Define pragmatic technical paths through complex application landscapes and enterprise dependencies.
Build and guide APIs, services, event flows, data integrations, and modernization patterns.
Partner with federated application teams and turn recurring integration problems into reusable enterprise patterns.
Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, leads requirements-gathering meetings, and reviews designs with the business.
Leads efforts with Web and Marketing teams to increase the presence of web products.
Anticipates broad technical changes and ensures company technology stays ahead of the curve.
Prioritizes projects and makes trade-offs for enterprise system changes based on broader business needs.
Understands the architecture for major areas of the business and can articulate scaling and reliability limits.
Owns the change request process and coordinates with other teams as necessary.
Develops and owns the final list of enhancements.
Defines application scope and objectives and oversees the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications.
Performs technical design and code reviews.
Ensures unit and system testing are completed according to requirements and implementation plans.
Leads delivery of application technology solutions and data/information planning efforts.
May participate in developing multi-year technology strategies for critical areas of the business across multiple systems.
Partners with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify the long-term technical direction of the technology infrastructure.
Creates architecture and anticipates future technology needs.
Leads internal conversations on the direction of major technology areas and drives cross-team consensus and adoption.
Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.
Reviews initiatives for end-to-end impact and coordination.
Participates in enterprise solution reviews and decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study and a minimum of 9 years of experience, including experience with multidimensional platforms and business and technical applications; or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Experience with APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and enterprise integration strongly preferred.
Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or a comparable modern engineering stack strongly preferred.
Experience with legacy modernization, identity, data integration, cloud, and distributed systems strongly preferred.
Experience integrating across complex enterprise application environments strongly preferred.
Experience mentoring others and driving teams to achieve results strongly preferred.
Experience leading multiple and/or large-scale projects strongly preferred.
Experience providing troubleshooting and production support strongly preferred.
Experience working across multiple databases and/or programming languages strongly preferred.
