Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking an Engineer Aeronautical - Cameo Specialist (Level 2) OR Principal Engineer Aeronautical  - Cameo Specialist (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future.  This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

In this role, you will act in a critical Engineering supporting role as an Cameo specialist for the Vehicle Engineering Team, performing requirements related tasks in the Cameo tool, such as requirements breakdown, allocation, and tracking from the highest to lowest level of requirements affecting the entire scope of the air vehicle and integrated mission systems.  

Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform requirements breakdown, allocation, and tracking using the Cameo tool.
  • Evaluate and verify the classification level of data including program technical requirements, designs, analyses, program information, and presentations.
  • Ensure proper secure transfer of classified data between higher and lower-classification networks according to the Program's Security Classification Guide (SCG).
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Program, its requirements, and the SCG to guide appropriate data handling procedures.
  • Attend or present at internal program, customer, and supplier technical exchange meetings and formal program milestone reviews to provide requirements work status updates.
  • Collaborate effectively within a dynamic environment featuring high expectations, diverse assignments, and teamwork across all levels.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at an Engineer Aeronautical - Cameo Specialist (Level 2) OR Principal Engineer Aeronautical  - Cameo Specialist (Level 3) level based on the qualifications below.

Engineer Aeronautical - Cameo Specialist (Level 2)

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Experience with design, and/or integration of aircraft systems.
  • Experience with Cameo, DOORS or equivalent Systems Requirement Tools
  • Experience reviewing technical documents. (i.e. SSOW, SRD, ICD, and SDRL)
  • Experience interpreting detailed drawings and blueprints.
Principal Engineer Aeronautical  - Cameo Specialist (Level 3)
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.

  • Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
  • Experience with design, and/or integration of aircraft systems.
  • Experience with Cameo, DOORS or equivalent Systems Requirement Tools
  • Experience reviewing technical documents. (i.e. SSOW, SRD, ICD, and SDRL)
  • Experience interpreting detailed drawings and blueprints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Aircraft subsystems design or supplier experience.
  • Experience integrating aircraft subsystems and mission equipment.
  • Experience working on cleared programs or handling classified data at various levels.
  • Systems Engineering experience.
  • Software proficiency with NX, CPLM, and Microsoft Office suite.

    Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00

    Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
