Finning Canada is seeking an Electrical Inspector in British Columbia to support customer‑owned Electric Rope Shovels and enhance the performance and maintenance of mining equipment in alignment with Caterpillar OEM standards and specifications. This role is primarily responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, conducting scheduled customer visits, and resolving customer concerns. The position also plays a key role in forecasting and supporting future customer requirements to ensure optimal equipment reliability and satisfaction.Note: The job is based in British Columbia supporting Hard Rock and Coal mine sites.

· For this position, the expected base salary range is between $110,000 and $125,000 annually and an annual performance bonus.
Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
Based on technical audits of the machine, the Electrical Inspector will make recommendations to the customer on what components will need to be changed.
Support troubleshooting efforts to resolve shovel downtime as quickly as possible.
Minimize downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduled.
Responsible for scheduling customer visits, setting agendas and writing reports.
Send technical analysis to the customers and provide the customer with recommended service options.
Liaison with Finning Parts Department to have the necessary parts delivered to the Mining customers.
Must develop and maintain open lines of communication with all supportive departments.
Accountability:
Ensure analysis and maintenance/repair recommendations are provided to appropriate groups in a timely manner
Provide solutions in a timely manner
Recommendation of safety solutions
Rapid escalation to the appropriate individuals and/ or groups of any machine down situations
Ensure that 80% of time is customer-facing
Machine availability
Mandatory (Must-Have) Skills:
Seasoned Electrician or P.Eng with significant electrical experience or with appropriate mining experience
Experience in a customer service role
Electric Rope Shovel and/or Rotary Blast Drill knowledge
Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLC and Motor Drive experience
Mining background and experience
Mechanical aptitude
Electrical aptitude
Caterpillar equipment knowledge (Non-Mandatory or Nice to have skill)
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills including verbal and written
Strong organizational and time management skills
Contribute positively to a quality team environment
Strong problem-solving skills
Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Additional Information regarding the role:
Must be able to work in other regions occasionally when workload dictates
Must be able to stay in camp on customer site when required
Job is based in British Columbia supporting Hard Rock and Coal mine sites
Must be able to work a 7X7 shift work rotation.
Must be able to work from heights
Must be able to work outside for extended amounts of time
Must be able to gain access to Oilsands mine sites
