Division Vice President, Retirement Sales

Section 1: Position Summary
Leadership position charged with driving the distribution of partner and platform retirement plan sales.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the establishment of the annual strategic budget, aligning resources across the organization to achieve top-line revenue objectives.
- Own the development and execution of national sales strategies and annual revenue objectives. Hold sales team accountable for achieving production, profitability, market share, and activity-based objectives
- Serve as the executive sponsor for key strategic initiatives impacting sales effectiveness, advisor engagement, partner growth, and distribution expansion.
- Ability to discuss industry trends with all constituents (Advisors, Broker-dealers, DCIO firms, etc.).
- Serve as a recognized industry thought leader and executive representative of Ascensus at national conferences, broker-dealer leadership forums, industry associations, and strategic partner events.
- Partner with executive leadership across Product, Operations, Client Management, Finance, Marketing, and Business Development to establish long-term growth strategies, influence investment priorities, and shape the future direction of Ascensus Core Retirement
- Act as the executive voice of the client, advisor, and partner community, leading strategic input into product innovation, service enhancements, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning initiatives
- Leverage mid and large-plan experience to help Ascensus grow capabilities and generate revenue up-market.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of key competitors with the ability to highlight our unique advantages.
- Maintain strong working relationships with DCIO, TPA and Broker-dealer firms nationally to promote our solutions to Financial Professionals.
- Direct and coordinate the sales function on a company-wide basis.
- Develop and manage the annual sales business plan and strategies in conjunction with the business units and marketing.
- Develop and manage the sales budget, and participate in the overall corporate strategic budget process.
- Research and develop strategies that identify sales opportunities, including use of analytical tools (e.g. CRM) to drive informed behaviors.
- Participate in development of major client accounts, and coordinate the management of all other accounts.

- Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Supervision
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing national sales organization while creating a culture of accountability, coaching excellence, innovation, and sustained performance.
Build succession plans and leadership development programs to strengthen the organization's long-term sales leadership bench strength.
- Hire, train, coach and mentor new RVPs.
- Evaluate and provide on-going feedback to RVPs and during the semi-annual performance management process.
- Travel with RVPs as needed and provide performance feedback
Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
- 15 + years of experience in the retirement plan industry
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale sales organizations with responsibility for national distribution strategies, revenue growth, organizational development
- Demonstrated history of exceeding revenue, profitability, and market share objectives in highly competitive environments.
- Proven successful sales experience of full service defined contribution recordkeeping and administrative services
- Over-night travel
- Superior time management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment
- Series 6 and 63 (or the ability to obtain within six months of employment)
- Strong, in-depth ERISA and plan design knowledge
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
