Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a new Director for Army and Special Operations Programs with broad knowledge of Army maneuver capability and Special Operations Forces capability requirements, as well as an understanding of the defense industrial base. Reporting to the Vice President, Army, Missile Defense, and Global Special Operations Programs, the Director is responsible for internal staff and information requirements coordination and maintaining effective customer relationships to foster an in-depth understanding of Northrop Grumman’s maneuver and special operations products.
This individual will coordinate internal Corporate Business Development information requirements, orchestrate high-level customer interface with the Army and assist with Special Operations customer organizations designated by the Vice President, working closely with the Army Customer Relations Team (CRT), corporate functional teams, and sector business development and program organizations. The role requires a proven ability to operate at the strategic level while executing coordinated, disciplined customer engagement campaigns.
The position will be located onsite in Falls Church, VA.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
As CRT Chief of Staff, lead and synchronize Army customer relations team efforts on behalf of Northrop Grumman, working in close collaboration with the Corporate Global Business Development Operations team, Army Customer Relations Team and sector counterparts.
Coordinate, integrate, and synchronize corporate and sector customer engagements and campaign strategies to advance company priorities with Army stakeholders.
Facilitate the development of new business opportunities within Army customer markets, including maneuver capability, and special operations forces (SOF).
Support corporate and sector teams in analyzing Army budgets, program plans, and requirements, and contribute to the development of strategic customer communication and contact plans.
Maintain and leverage strong working relationships with key Army stakeholders, including munitions, maneuver, SOF, and related acquisition and requirements organizations.
Provide informed input to the development and refinement of Northrop Grumman’s Army-related priorities and investment strategies.
Maintain awareness of significant Army policy, programmatic, budgetary, and legislative initiatives, and advise leadership on potential impacts to company interests.
Represent Northrop Grumman with a high level of professionalism and executive presence in engagements with senior Army and DoW leaders, industry partners, and internal teammates.
Basic Qualifications-
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years of relevant Department of Defense (DoD) service or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of Army maneuver systems and supporting acquisition and requirements organizations.
Demonstrated experience engaging with and influencing senior Army and DoD civilian and military decision-makers.
Experience with the DoD and Army budget, resourcing, and requirements processes, to include the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) framework.
Prior experience serving in or directly supporting the Army Customer Relations Team (CRT), ideally including time as Chief of Staff or in a comparable Army headquarters‑level customer engagement role.
Demonstrated familiarity with PAE Maneuver and Army maneuver force portfolios, as well as special operations forces (SOF) organizations, missions, and resourcing.
Proven ability to analyze a broad range of complex issues, with a demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and campaign planning.
High level of confidence, integrity, and a hands‑on approach to problem solving, with a professional executive presence for interacting with and influencing DoD decision makers and senior executives internal and external to the company.
Demonstrated flexibility, strong judgment/decision‑making skills, and political acumen in complex stakeholder environments.
Current DoD Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Ability to work onsite in Falls Church, VA is required.
Preferred Qualifications

Retired senior Army Officer.
A strong commitment and ability to work cooperatively in a team environment is paramount.
