Dataflow Engineer
The Opportunity

As a Dataflow Engineer, you’ll work hands‑on with Apache NiFi, collaborate with data providers and consumers, and help enhance the performance and usability of our data‑movement ecosystem. Responsibilities:
Route, transform, and enrich data across diverse systems
Configure, deploy, and maintain Apache NiFi workflows and clusters
Partner with data source and destination stakeholders to ensure smooth dataflow operations
Assist with escalated customer tickets and troubleshooting dataflow issues
Support continuous improvement of dataflow processes and reliability
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
Education & Experience: Candidates must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience in a technical field directly related to this role. All degrees, diplomas, and certificates must be from accredited institutions
High School Diploma + 12 years of relevant experience
Associate’s degree + 10 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of relevant experience
Master’s degree + 6 years of relevant experience
Doctorate + 4 years of relevant experience
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with Apache NiFi
Experience setting up NiFi clusters
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Ability to write and interpret Regular Expressions (RegEx)
Desired:
Experience with AWS Elasticsearch or Splunk
Linux proficiency
Knowledge of MySQL
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
