Cyber Systems Administrator
The Opportunity:
The Cyber Systems Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. This role ensures the smooth operation of IT resources, supports end-users, and implements security measures to protect organizational data.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Manage network servers and technology tools.
Perform regular backups and restore operations as needed.
Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard data and systems.
Support end-users with technical problems and provide training when necessary.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in systems administration or a similar role.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with virtualization, cloud services, and network management.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired:
Enterprise networking experience including switching equipment such as Cisco, Arista, and RuggedCom.
Network design to include VLAN Architecture, port assignments, network flows.
General understanding of network messaging and protocols.
Development and programming of tools and scripts to include languages such as Python, shell scripting, etc.
