Coordinator GSC
Job Description
The Role:
As a member of the Global Supply Chain organization, this role is responsible for coordinating one of the key areas within plant supply chain operations, including manufacturing support, warehouse operations, launch execution, scheduling, and material management. The position acts as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and suppliers to resolve issues and support business needs.
This role supports business objectives across safety, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product, and financial initiatives while helping drive process improvements and issue resolution with direct impact to plant performance.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):
Execute deliverables in support of plant and supply chain business objectives.
Coordinate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Logistics, and suppliers to resolve material and supply chain issues.
Support relationship management with logistics suppliers and service providers.
Analyze supply chain constraints, supplier schedules, and operational risks to minimize disruption to production.
Summarize critical issues, action plans, and resolutions for leadership communication.
Help develop and implement new processes, standards, and problem-solving actions in support of plant goals.
Support launch, scheduling, and material management activities as business needs require.
Work flexible hours when needed to support urgent plant or supplier issues.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent manufacturing/materials experience.
2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, logistics, materials, or supply chain support.
Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with internal teams and external suppliers.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
May require schedule flexibility to support plant needs, supplier issues, and launch or build events.
Ability to work 2nd shift
Ability to be shift flexible
Ability to work overtime as needed
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
2+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, logistics, materials, or supply chain support.
Experience supporting plant operations in a GSC, PC&L, materials, or logistics role.
Familiarity with supplier issue resolution, transportation, warehousing, or inventory management processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of GM systems, plant processes, and business plan deployment or continuous improvement routines
