The Opportunity

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott’s Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

This Contract Administration Supervisor will supervise, provide guidance and training to contract administrators and contract coordinators and participate in preparation, negotiation and administration of high-profile contracts, in addition to administrative and procedural support to internal and external customers on behalf of the Contracts & Pricing Department. This role acts as a liaison between account executives, regional sales directors, directors of national accounts, and others in processing and administration of sales contracts.

What You’ll Work On

  • Supervise contract administrators and contract coordinators’ day-to-day productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching
  • Track performance of contract administrators and contract coordinators and provide performance evaluations
  • Validate and coordinate work of contract administrators and contract coordinators
  • Negotiate and draft high-value complex contract terms and conditions in accordance with corporate policies
  • Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to the organization and provide solution
  • Present and explain contract conditions and details to customers, business partners, and management
  • Work with different levels of personnel within an organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy
  • Acts as a knowledge resource to the contract administrators, contract coordinators and sales organization in regard to current policies, processes and programs
  • Provide training to onboarding personnel in contract administration group and  in Sales (as it relates to contract administration process)
  • Deploy analytical approach to problem solving, risk assessment and strategy.
  • Oversee current contract administration process, identify opportunities, and develop and implement enhancements to improve overall contract administration process.
  • Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa
  • Meet deadlines and update clients with status
  • Develop, maintain and foster highly effective internal and external client relationship
  • Be one of the company’s CRM system super-user to generate reports, analyze data, and track product and ordering patterns
  • Interface with internal fulfillment group and distributors to establish working relationships, assure proper end-user pricing and contract effective dates are loaded
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
  • Perform other duties & projects as assigned.
  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline.
  • Intermediate Word and Excel experience.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in commercial sales contracting in bio-tech/healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than 7 years of relevant experience directly related to contract administration, preferably within the biotech/ healthcare industry. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and constructively communicate across departmental disciplines while pursuing contract department goals.
  • Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have customer service attitude & good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Self-starter and a multi-tasker
  • Ability to work in a high volume, dynamic team environment
  • Advanced salesforce.com experience preferred
  • Previous healthcare, biotech or sales industry experience preferred

The base pay for this position is

$86,700.00 – $173,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
