Join Collins Aerospace as a Configuration Coordinator Analyst, Engineering Services to support Configuration Management under the Mission Systems organization. This role provides Configuration Management (CM) support in the PDM (Product Data Management) System and MRP (Material Resource Planner) business system related to the release and maintenance of engineering and program data. This role is concerned with the data completeness and accuracy related to engineering change data. Requires the creation and/or updates to PDM Data Objects, and Route Data necessary to process engineering changes through the business systems.

This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

This role is categorized as hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.

What YOU will do:

  • Understand and interpret CO packages with respect to the data requirement requests.
  • Develop strategies to improve processing of work using various business systems and tools, including transition of manual activities into more automated means.
  • Performs CM aspects related to preparation of engineering master data input and delivery into business systems with little supervision.
  • Review inputs related to bills of material in the PDM (Enovia) business system.
  • Must have practical knowledge of entire engineering change process, including the use of various business systems.
  • Set up Change Control Board (CCB) meetings for program reviews under the direction of CM Analysts.
  • Review contract briefs for CM Change requirements.
  • Analyze MRP data and provide status accounting queries to support product identification creation or other engineering master data process requirements when requested.
  • Perform the product identification process using external and internal tools and/or the manufacturing process regarding master engineering data requirements.
  • Prioritizes own work while working in a fluctuating environment.
    Identifies process improvement opportunities and leads the implementation.
  • Foster good customer relationships (interfaces with wide variety of individuals on daily basis).

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required ​
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance 
  • Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
  • Technical Writing Experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with reading and understanding technical processes.
  • Interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with PDM Systems, preferably Enovia, ERP Systems, preferably SAP and knowledgeable application of JIRA.
  • Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment of solving complex problems,
  • Experience with Government, Customer, and configuration management practices and standards, or relatable skills.
