Right now, we are seeking an early career Configuration and Data Management Officer to join the Mission System team as part of the Modernisation of Maritime Electronic Warfare (MMEW) program.
As Configuration and Data Management Officer in the MMEW Team, you’ll gain practical experience executing the data and configuration management activities throughout the full project lifecycle, while learning how complex systems are designed, assured, and delivered.
This Configuration and Data Management Officer role offers the opportunity to work with multiple engineering and functional disciplines, gaining hands‑on experience and exposure to end‑to‑end system development.
With support, the Configuration and Data Management Officer is responsible for:
- Identifying the document sets that define each configuration item and baseline, and record these in the Configuration Status Accounting System.
- Verifying design documentation releases and changes for completeness, proper authorisation, and classification.
- Providing support for product audits and reviews of software and hardware Configuration Items.
- Preparing configuration status accounting reports to meet customer and management requirements.
- Collaborating across teams to support design reviews, technical problem‑solving, and continuous improvement
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or information management (desirable), or equivalent experience;
- Excellent written and oral communications skills essential;
- High-level attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
- Use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques;
- Candidates must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a NV-1 Security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
