The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) team within Northrop Grumman CIDO is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Computer Systems Analyst 2 or Principal Computer Systems Analyst 3.
The BSA team bridges the gap between the business side of operations (day-to-day system users) and the application development teams. The team also manages the Aeronautics Sector’s current and future PMO portfolio of IT projects, including budget, schedule, and risk management.
This candidate will be asked to provide technical and business-process support for the following functional areas: Production Engineering – Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering processes and production systems; Manufacturing Shop Floor - processes, operations, and tooling; and Manufacturing Quality - quality assurance and control processes. The desired candidate for this position can serve in this role from any one of the following major Northrop Grumman sites (El Segundo, San Diego or Palmdale, CA; St. Augustine or Melbourne, FL; Clearfield or Roy, UT).
Note: This role supports hybrid work arrangement; however, due to the classified nature of the work, a regular on-site presence is required. While some work-from-home opportunities may be available, employees are expected to commute to the office as business needs dictate.
The ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate technical principles, theories, and concepts as well as develop innovative solutions to technical issues. The candidate must demonstrate customer support skills, work collaboratively in cross-functional team settings, and complete assignments with minimal management supervision. The role requires the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and to learn new computer applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coalesce, analyze, and document user requirements and/or problems to improve existing systems
Collaborate with business partners to develop solutions and correct system deficiencies
Develop system specifications that address business requirements aligned with system architectures
Test solutions to ensure optimal system functionality
Monitor integrated system interfaces for errors and resolves as necessary
Draft & publish instructional materials and provide system training to end users
Represent the organization in providing solutions to complex system issues
Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects
Work with process owners to ensure optimal system interactions and develop improvements
May also have the opportunity for a Project Management role on IT projects
This position may fill at a higher level based on the qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
Master's Degree with 0 years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience; OR an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of experience is required
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
Experience executing in CPLM, SAP/S4, SMES, or other ERP systems
Experience with Microsoft Office tools
Experience interacting and/or supporting Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Shop Floor Operations, and Quality processes

Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; OR an Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of experience is required
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered
Experience executing in CPLM, SAP/S4, SMES, or other ERP systems
Experience with Microsoft Office tools
Experience interacting and/or supporting Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Shop Floor Operations, and Quality processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Additional Subject Matter Expertise and experience working in PEO system
Experience with Business Process Testing (BPT), and script writing
Understanding of hardware and software requirements, design, development, and testing of system integrations and/or Interfaces
Data Conversion
AI & Production Operations - Experience integrating or supporting AI/analytics solutions within production systems (MES, ERP).
Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related Technical Degree
Experience in the Aerospace Industry or working on Defense Acquisition programs
Experience working on teams using an agile framework (e.g., scrum, Kanban)

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $125,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
