Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for an Avionics Field Technician 4 (AT) for the VX-20, E-2D Field Support Team within our Test and Evaluation organization. This position will be located onsite in Patuxent River, MD.

In this role, the successful candidate performs a variety of maintenance, modifications and technical support on E-2D Avionics, EMIRS and electrical systems, equipment, integrated systems, and subsystems, at various customer and/or field locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair E2D avionics systems in accordance with technical specifications and engineering instructions using aircraft wiring schematics and Automated Logistics Environment (ALE) data.
  • Supports testing, exercises, and operations at CONUS and possible OCONUS locations.
  • Extensive knowledge of Diagnose and repair of the E-2D systems to include RADAR, EMIRS, RF, internal communications, navigation, IFF, ESM, mission computer, and Data link systems.
  • Possess familiarity with updating system software i.e., RADAR, IFF using the Controller Test Set (CTS).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs

  • Must have experience with E-2D Avionics systems

  • Must have the ability to lift 30lbs

  • Must be willing and able to work extended shifts, other shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the company to meet program schedule and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current, active U.S. Government Secret or Top Secret clearance
  • 6 years of experience with E-2D Avionics systems
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Relevant certifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $131,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
