About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned commercial attorney and manager to join our legal team. This role will be responsible for supporting licensing and partnership deals across all channels, alliances, and strategic partners globally — including GSIs, cloud hyperscalers, MSSPs, OEMs, and technology alliance partners. You will be an individual contributor as well as a hands-on manager who can scale an alliance legal team to meet the company’s rapid growth, while helping the team drive deal closure. What You'll Do:
Lead and manage a team of attorneys, ensuring high performance and alignment with the company's strategic alliances goals.
Bring a player/coach mindset with a willingness to take an active role in negotiating and drafting complex licensing and partnership agreements when necessary.
Provide strategic legal counsel on business initiatives and go-to-market strategies.
Identify and analyze legal risks, assess business impact, and propose practical solutions that keep deals moving.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including alliances, operations, finance, and others to develop processes and operational frameworks, establish new partner programs and drive deal closure.
Communicate complex legal issues clearly and concisely to senior executives and partner leadership, both verbally and in writing.
What You’ll Need:
10+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in-house.
Proven experience negotiating and drafting complex channel and partner agreements; familiarity with cloud marketplace contracting structures (e.g., AWS Marketplace, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Demonstrated ability to scale legal resources in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; drive and develop team’s use of AI tools and agentic workflows.
Experience managing 2–5 attorneys in a player/coach model.
Strong business acumen and the ability to balance legal risks with business goals.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief executives and partner leadership clearly and concisely; able to build trusted relationships across business and legal stakeholders.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with a state bar.
Willingness to travel periodically to support partner relationships, deal negotiations, and internal meetings (estimated 10-15%).
