The Opportunity
The Assistant Controller, CMI manages all aspects of financial planning, analysis and reporting related to the consolidated CMI business unit (BU) as well as key BU level support functions, including analysis to support key growth and profitability programs. Financial planning activities include long-range plans, the annual plan, regular LBE's, capital planning, and headcount planning. Reporting activities include the monthly close, variance analysis, and internal management reporting. Monthly reporting of results versus benchmarks including prior year, Plan and LBEs. Coordinate financial matters with the CMI BU Controller, as well as other members of the division and BU finance teams.
What You'll Work On
- Establish, maintain, and control financial planning processes to deliver meaningful and comprehensive Plans and LBEs, assuring compliance with Division requirements.
- Play a leadership role in identifying trends/risks/opportunities in sales and P&L forecasts.
- Responsible for understanding the Area / Division commercial strategies across US Cardiometabolic market and helping to create effective analyses/communications to present financial components to Sr Leadership.
- Act as a key liaison with Demand Planning and Marketing teams to ensure connection of key market and financial results/forecasts, playing a key role in the S&OP process.
- Monitor the calculation of Gross to Net Sales for actuals and different planning scenarios.
- Lead and coordinate preparation of Quarterly Business Reviews for US Region.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and backup schedules to assist finance and commercial leadership in decision-making process.
- Provide finance leadership to Division and Corporate strategic initiatives such as Margin & Profitability (M&P) programs, cash flow, and other cost saving and value creation initiatives.
- Provide Monthly Business Review and other sales dashboard to regional sales teams.
- Support cost center expense forecasting and reporting.
- Partner with Finance back office on accounting policies and compliance.
- Provide margin analyses, price/volume analyses and insight into sales consumption and shipments
- Provide support on strategic projects.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of business plans, vendor/distributor agreements, marketing promotions, and other contractual support.
- Manage and develop staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 10+ years of relevant finance experience with strong analytical, time management and people management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Requires effective communication skills with all levels of management, inside and outside of finance
- Previous experience managing a team a plus
- Individual must be a self-starter who works independently as well as within a team
- Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP/Hyperion/Power BI/BW preferred
- Experience involving extensive work with complex excel files
- CPA/MBA is preferred

The base pay for this position is
$129,300.00 – $258,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
