Asset Manager
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an Asset Manager to support our DoD customer in delivering Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS). This position is based in Oklahoma City, OK and is responsible for managing Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and procuring IT assets that support the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD). The Asset Manager will ensure government property is properly received, tracked, maintained, transferred, and disposed of in accordance with Department of the Air Force (DAF) policies, contractual requirements, and applicable government regulations.
Working closely with the Logistics and Asset Management team located in Chantilly, VA, and remote locations, the Asset Manager will support the full lifecycle management of IT assets.
This role requires strong collaboration across the EITaaS organization to ensure government property is accurately accounted for, readily available to support mission operations, and managed in compliance with established policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in government property accountability and IT asset management. They will possess strong organizational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, and a commitment to maintaining compliance while supporting operational readiness and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate accountability records in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS), in the ServiceNow (SN) asset database, and other asset management systems.
- Coordinating shipping and receiving activities, supporting inventory and procurement efforts, and assisting with equipment deployment and recovery.
- Support the Inventory and Accountability of IT assets located in CACI facilities.
- Prepare required Government forms for shipping, receiving, transferring equipment within EITaaS sites or from/to other entities.
- Coordinate and process all EITaaS equipment that is required to be excessed and/or disposed of according to the all-established regulations.
- Assist in performing a full inventory.
- Assisting in the preparation of reports of discrepancies and a list of the full inventory.
- Receive shipments, scan all assets into the asset management tool store in appropriate designated locations.
- Follow up with end users out in the field to ensure all government required documentation is signed and all IT Assets are accounted for.
- Assist in the imaging process of brand-new laptops that are to be deployed to end users out in the field.
- Assist with the tagging of all IT Assets.
- Ensure off boarding employees return issued assets and complete required government forms.
- Place orders for new devices or replacement devices.
- Package and ship IT assets to CONUS and OCONUS locations when required or as needed.
- Prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for both internal and external parties such as type of assets received, shipping, transferred or excessed/disposed while providing upcoming procurement reports.
- In working across the EITaaS organization, ensure all software, hardware and licenses are tracked and reported on in accordance with DAF policies.
- Must be a team player with the ability to interact with multiple people and “wear multiple hats”.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
- 10+ years’ experience (Bachelor’s degree in relevant field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical data
- Ability to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Products
- Experience in working Government Asset Management systems.
- Ability to work effectively with a group or independently.
- Ability to effectively manage several tasks simultaneously.
- ITIL 4 Foundations
- Experience using Service Now
