JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Overview
The Application Analyst will work on business systems design, configuration, upgrades, and improvements for assigned technology platforms. As a primary support contact for application end-users, the Application Analyst will work to identify issues that arise in the applications, as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them.  The Application Analyst will perform impact analysis of desired changes, build and test systems changes, conduct end-user training, create and maintain documentation and identify areas of improvement associated with platform performance and opportunities to enable business processes and requirements.

The SAP FICO Application Analyst requires a deep understanding of financial processes and SAP FI-CO functionality to support our business objectives and contribute to our ongoing success.  Hands-on experience supporting and configuring OneStream is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within the applications noted, as well as knowledge of other modules and business processes, such as MM, PP, and SD. They will work closely with the Lead SAP FICO App Analyst, ERP Technical team, and Architects to implement solutions, including configuration alignment and/or customizations to accommodate functionality gaps. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, customer service-oriented, adaptable to change, and a team player who takes the initiative to identify and act on opportunities that benefit our stakeholders and align with our priorities.

This role requires consistent onsite work in Madison, WI, up to four days per week. Relocation assistance is provided for this position.

Essential Duties
Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Responsible for business systems design and configuration, upgrades, and improvements for low complexity applications using established processes and procedures.
  • Estimate and assess impact of requested changes to assigned business system and/or platform.
  • Guide workflow design, configure and test system changes, and analyze technical issues.
  • Develop new processes and procedures in partnership with leadership and business teams.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Contribute to peer design and code reviews.
  • Identify issues that arise in the application area, as well as issues that impact other application teams, and work to resolve them.
  • Create and maintain system documentation.
  • Liaise with business systems stakeholders and software vendor’s implementation staff to ensure alignment of business needs with the delivery of system changes.
  • Develop an understanding of operational needs to set the direction for the organization's workflows; proactively identify opportunities to improve business workflow with technology improvements.
  • Help develop, document, and participate in trainings and work with end users.
  • Troubleshoot problems and questions, and provide regular updates on status.
  • Provide end-user production support for issues entered into issue tracking systems.
  • Review the status of projects and issues with project leadership.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with respect to changing end-user business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field as outlined in the essential duties; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions, either in an application analyst or project delivery role.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand industry best practices.
  • Strong computer skills to include internet navigation and email usage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience configuring business systems software in a life sciences, health care, or related industry.
  • Solid understanding of Plan-to-Report processes and related SAP functionality (FI-CO, FI-AA, AR, Revenue, Treasury/BCM/EBS).
  • 1+ SAP implementation supporting FI-CO, plus experience supporting SAP end-users post-go-live
  • Experience with SAP HANA 2023 and Fiori, with working knowledge of FI-CO configuration and integration points to SD, PP and MM.
  • Experience working within Accounting or FP&A.
  • Hands-on experience with OneStream – implementation or ongoing support.
  • Experience with other finance/reporting tools (e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud) a plus.

     

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 – $122,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
