Advisor Support and Experience Service Professional, Officer - Wealth Custody & Clearing
Role Description & Opportunity
State Street Wealth Custody and Clearing is seeking a Service Professional to support the delivery of a high-quality, relationship-focused service experience for our RIA clients and their end investors. This role is an entry-level to early-career position within the advisor support model, assisting as a supporting point of contact for service inquiries while helping ensure consistent, accurate, and timely resolution across service channels.
The Service Professional operates within a modern, omni-channel service environment (phone, email, and digital platforms) and builds foundational knowledge in State Street’s service model through daily interactions. This individual will develop client service skills, operational understanding, and sound judgment under guidance to resolve issues, support transactions, and assist State Street’s RIA partners.
This role offers the opportunity to gain foundational experience across custody operations, financial products, and service workflows, while contributing to a scalable, technology-enabled service model leveraging platforms such as Salesforce Service Cloud and AI-assisted tools. It is ideal for individuals early in their careers who are motivated to learn, grow, and deliver strong client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a front-line support resource for RIA partners, handling inbound inquiries via phone, email, and digital channels with guidance as needed
- Deliver accurate and timely responses with oversight where appropriate to client requests, including account servicing and general inquiries
- Assist with financial transactions and service requests across asset classes (e.g., equities, mutual funds, fixed income, cash movements), ensuring accuracy and compliance under supervision
- Escalate more complex issues appropriately, partnering with senior team members and specialized teams as needed
- Provide clear and professional communication to clients, focusing on clarity and learning best practices
- Support onboarding, account maintenance, and documentation workflows in alignment with regulatory and operational requirements
- Use Salesforce Service Cloud (and related tools) to log, update, and track cases; maintain accurate documentation of client interactions
- Contribute to effective case management, including adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and follow-through with support from senior team members
- Collaborate with internal partners to support service delivery and learn cross-functional processes
- Identify basic trends or recurring issues and escalate insights to team leadership
- Support adoption of digital and self-service tools by assisting clients and learning platform capabilities
- Participate in team initiatives focused on continuous improvement and professional development
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience (or internships) in financial services, client service, or related fields
- Series 7 license not required at hire; willingness to obtain preferred
- Strong interest in delivering high-quality service in a client-facing role
- Basic understanding of financial products or willingness to learn
- Developing problem-solving skills with ability to follow defined processes and seek guidance when needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working in structured, regulated environments with defined processes
- Familiarity with technology platforms; prior CRM experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and learn from peers and leaders
- Strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy and documentation
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new systems, products, and workflows
- Client-focused mindset with a professional and positive attitude
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or entry-level exposure to financial services or client support environments
- Familiarity with omni-channel service models (phone, email, chat, digital portals)
- Interest in learning case management or workflow tools
- Demonstrated curiosity and interest in continuous improvement and client experience
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $101,250 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
