The Corporate Analysis Center, part of the Corporate Strategy & Technology organization, is a unique Northrop Grumman institution.  The Center’s mission is to provide strategic insight and foresight to the company’s executive leadership while also providing analytically-driven business development and capture support to enterprise priority programs.  The team’s mission plays a leading role in establishing the company’s long term strategy and securing business growth. 

The Analysis Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Center’s Senior Director to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

The position is full-time on-site and located in our Falls Church, Virginia HQ office.

In this role, the selected candidate will be highly motivated, collaborative, detail orientated, assertive as necessary, and friendly in the performance of the Administrative Assistant role.

The selected candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Serves as a focal point for the organization and communicates with internal and external customers and executives, professionally representing the corporation and organization.

  • Manages leadership calendars, including scheduling, prioritizing, and resolving conflicts; coordinates meeting logistics; and supports basic follow‑up on key correspondence.

  • Performs office functions such as arranging in‑person and hybrid meetings/conferences; preparing materials and room/technology setup; and responding to and routing as-needed calls to ensure timely and accurate follow‑up

  • Assists in maintaining the organization's collaboration electronic sites and folders. Follow-up on open actions to ensure deadlines are met, and gathers, compiles, and reports on information relevant to assignments. 

  • Assists in event planning and activities of major organization initiatives and reviews. Operate independently to meet requirements of leadership team and offer expertise to assist other functions within the organization.

  • Provides operational support for special projects; researches and obtains information, helps plan and ensure follow-through of assigned tasks. 

  • The selected individual will be adept in the use of Microsoft 365 and other collaboration/productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and will work with minimal supervision while exercising good judgment; demonstrating flexibility and agility; prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines; managing schedule conflicts; and providing excellent follow‑through.

  • Arranges domestic travel and prepares expense reports. 

  • Arranges multi-leg international travel, travel documentation (passport, visa, export compliance, etc.), post-trip expense reports. 

  • Arrange on-site visits, including foreign visitor requests

  • Schedule meetings and trips with organizations and individuals in different time zones in Asia, Europe, and Middle East.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and a minimum of eight (8) years additional education and/or experience in the administrative professional or related field or an associate’s degree with six (6) years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with four (4) years' experience in project management or administrative support.  

  • Experience with organizing/maintaining/deconflicting schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel

  • Experience in Concur

  • Experience in Workday, I-Buy, NG My IT, ITRIP (or equivalent business procurement, enterprise service, and business travel software)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The selected candidate will be able to professionally and effectively communicate both written/verbally with internal and external representatives of all levels; demonstrating tact, diplomacy, discretion and judgment when conveying and gathering and sharing relevant information.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Primary Level Salary Range: $66,600.00 - $111,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
