Job Description
Responsibilities:
Will be assigned multiple global supply chain suppliers to manage quality activity and will have multiple product lines;
Daily management of all supplier quality related issues that may impact production lines with cross-functional team alignment;
Evaluation and selection of world class suppliers in safety, quality, delivery and cost
Work with suppliers to continuously improve performance, implement process controls and develop quality assurance plans
Responsible to act as a liaison between cross functional teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet development and analysis;
Drive projects that improve quality metrics: FPY (first pass yield), PPM.
Lead corrective actions as required from supplier 8D’s or non-conformance reports
Work with suppliers to devise sampling procedures and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data
Prepare Operations review Supplier and Internal Quality KPI’s, countermeasures and annual action plans for supplier quality PPM, on-time delivery, late supplier 8D responses, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good understanding and working experience with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments and Six Sigma problem solving methods
Ability to read and interpret documents such as mechanical and designs prints, safety rules
Ability to think logical and critically to measure the pros and cons and take the most appropriate decisions in a quickly from the available resources
Perform quality audits on suppliers to ensure products meet Motorola Standards
Must be an active listener with good time management skills in order to work with suppliers and project management teams to define deliverables
Must possess great organizational and communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with management
Must have complete knowledge of APQP documents like PPAP ( Production Part Approval Process), FMEA, Control Plans and Quality Standards.
Strong analytical and technical abilities with attention to detail.
The following certifications are preferred: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and Six Sigma Black Belt.
Candidates must reside in the Chicagoland area to be considered for this position!
Target Base Salary Range: $65,900 - $85,000
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
3+ years of experience as a Industrial Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, or a Quality Process Engineer required.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
