Position Overview:

Effectively plan, schedule and manage service workload and resources to meet customers’ expectations for equipment service and maintenance. Responsible for the day-to-day operational requirements of the branch and to set the strategy and goals for the branch operations business plan.

This position is temporary full time for 12 months

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of staff, including recruitment and selection, orientation, coaching and mentoring, performance feedback, and supporting growth and development opportunities
  • Support a healthy and safe workplace by ensuring that all safety practices and policies are followed by employees, contractors and on site customers
  • Manage and monitor the work order process
  • Continually identify and recommend opportunities to improve service to customers
  • Responsible for managing service operations and assets to achieve best possible financial results, aligned with the corporate strategy and personal objectives
  • Effective planning, management and reporting of service financial results, assets and facilities requirements

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring and human resource management skills

Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and service support systems
  • Sound knowledge of current products and services and CAT dealer relationship
  • Strong understanding and interpretation of relevant service agreements
  • Understanding and use of supporting information systems with an emphasis on DBS
  • Strong knowledge of Warranty and Good will practices and budget forecasting
  • Complete understanding of Finning’s work order cycle
  • Thorough understanding of Leaders in Action
  • Thorough understanding of the union and Finning’s collective agreements
  • Understands and adheres to Finning policies and procedures, including safety


Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years in a mechanical service environment
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Thorough understanding of the union and Finning’s collective agreement
