Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking a Senior Software Developer in San Diego, CA.  In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining full stack software applications that support business and operational needs. This role requires strong technical expertise across front-end and back-end development, database integration, and cloud-based solutions, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. The ideal candidate will also bring working knowledge of AI concepts and be able to integrate intelligent capabilities into modern application solutions in an agile framework. Fast trainability, eagerness to learn, taking initiatives are among other qualities that we are looking for potential candidates.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize tasks and leads reviews. Assist project leads with risk management and progress reviews
  • Develop software applications Defines and develops external interfaces
  • Ensure application of best practices
  • Support estimation reviews of statements of work
  • Participate in the development of fundamental approaches to projects and requirements for implementation
  • Lead development, maintenance, and unit tests for software applications
  • Lead architecture decisions and best practice implementations using current and emerging technologies
  • Participate in internal/external design reviews
  • Leads development, selection, tailoring, and continuous integration and continuous delivery of software
  • Support issue resolution, leads root cause analysis for all software issues, identifies opportunities and implements process improvements
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team
  • Define and help implement strategies for the software application teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack software application development
  • 5+ years of experience in at least one back-end language/platform such as: Java or Python
  • 3+ years of experience with Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes development
  • 3+ years of experience in at least one modern front-end framework such as: TypeScript, ReactJS or Redux
  • 3+ years of experience in backend frameworks/API Protocols like Spring, GraphQL, Hibernate and/or Spring Data
  • Experience with version control tools, especially Git
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into applications, including prompt engineering and RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Leadership experience and technical ownership
  • Experience with Event Driven Architecture
  • Experience using AI development tools such as AmazonQ, Kiro, Codex or similar AI/LLM tools to improve quality, productivity in development
  • Experience developing Cloud-native applications
  • Automation and Orchestration preferred
  • DevSecOps experience preferred

Summary base pay range $131,000 - $145,000
