A Day in the Life
Orange County Campus Maintenance Excellence CoordinatorThe role is responsible for supporting maintenance and asset management initiatives across the OC Campus to improve equipment reliability, inventory control, and maintenance process efficiency. This position drives the standardization and implementation of maintenance best practices, including spare parts and spare equipment management, paperless maintenance processes, and reliability performance tracking. The role ensures that critical spare parts and equipment inventories are properly identified, maintained, and organized using 5S principles and electronically managed systems.
In addition, the position serves as a key coordinator for the Computerized Asset Management System (CAMS) implementation and integration activities, including the transition of preventive maintenance processes and spare inventory tracking into Emaint. The role partners with site leadership and cross functional teams to support asset continuity planning by coordinating “Plan for Every Asset” reviews and maintaining program tracking to inform capital prioritization decisions.
This position also drives the OC Campus Maintenance Excellence program by developing and executing the annual deployment plan, facilitating continuous improvement events, standardizing reliability metrics, and leading initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime. The role supports the development of an Autonomous Maintenance program that empowers operators to take ownership of routine equipment care, strengthening overall equipment performance and operational reliability across the campus

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Parts Management:
Identify all required spare parts for OC Campus and ensure adequate inventory is maintained and location is in 5S condition
Develop critical spare parts list for each equipment and ensure required on hand inventory is available
Physical storage location to be established, 5S and establish pull system that is electronically controlled (in CAMS)
Equipment Management:
Identify all required spare equipment for OC Campus and ensure adequate inventory is maintained
Physical storage location to be established, 5S and establish pull system that is electronically controlled (in CAMS)
SNA Liaison for Equipment BCM; coordinate “Plan for Every Asset” reviews in SNA, maintain the PFEA tracker and report back to OC Campus BCM Program leader so capital prioritization decisions can be made
CAMS Coordination:
Implement paperless PMs across OC Campus
Implement Spare parts inventory transition into Emaint across OC Campus
Implement spare Equipment inventory transition into Emaint
Maintenance Excellence:
Own Maintenance Excellence Annual Deployment Plan for Maintenance Excellence
Facilitator for Red Tag Events for OC Campus
Reliability Metrics Data Dashboard Standardization for Eng Tier 3 for OC Campus
Unplanned Downtime Improvement Glidepath
Establish Autonomous Maintenance program (Operator Owned PM’s) for OC Campus

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires expert knowledge within a specific discipline typically gained through extensive work experience and/or education.
Requires minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
Familiar with 5s
Proficient in the CAMS System
Experience in creating preventative maintenance schedules and updating as needed
Ability to update and deliver training
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
