Job Description:

The Company

Jonas Club is a global leader in the private club software industry, offering an easy to use set of tools for our clients to manage their member interactions. From websites to accounting, tee times to tennis courts, the Jonas suite has a solution for almost every interaction the club has with their members outside a handshake. As an employer, Jonas Club offers a great vacation and benefits package. As a team, we focus on ownership. Everyone on the team has a seat at the table to make the product better, and everyone is expected to drive the initiatives they take on. Success comes from a shared desire to serve, both our clients and each other, to build a team and a product ready for whatever tomorrow brings.

The Role

As a Software Product Analyst, your responsibilities will include documenting functionality through written and automated test cases, as well as training documents and client facing release notes. The analyst is not only the last line of defense for quality, they are the first line of offense for client outreach. You will work closely with every piece of the business to ensure that our clients receive best in class software, and they receive hospitality grade information on its use.

You are the voice of the user during the planning, testing, and release process. We are looking for a self-disciplined, highly organized individual who our clients can trust to think beyond the intended use case, understand their workflow, and help the team produce stable, bug free releases that serve the needs of the user.

In this position you will need to adapt to change. The dev and support teams have a direct line where immediate client needs are balanced against the planned sprint work.

You should be capable of working from an understanding of the objectives, with little additional direction at times. Understanding what needs to be done, proactively clarifying unclear priorities, and reaching out to team members when needed.

This role is a blend of traditional quality assurance testing, and product ownership. You will be learning on-the-fly in every aspect of the job, from understanding the needs of different clients to technical concepts, in a fast paced environment, with a highly dedicated team around you.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing on various browsers and devices to simulate administrative and end user actions.

  • Review product requirement documents to ensure testability and thoroughness.

  • Validate positive and negative expectations during testing and accurately document in user stories

  • Collaborate with Client Service team to triage and reproduce client reported defects

  • Collaborate with Software Development and Product teams to plan enhancements and bug fixes.

  • Understand the end user, and advocate for their workflow during planning

  • Develop test plans, use cases, repeatable manual test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size.

  • Write training materials and internal documentation of new features.

Qualifications

  • 2-6 years experience testing web-based applications

  • Experience with writing client facing documentation

  • Experience with test automation tools

  • Strong time management: uses time effectively and efficiently concentrating efforts on most important priorities.

  • Strong organizational skills: uses resources effectively and efficiently arranges information and files in a useful manner.

  • Can effectively cope with change/ambiguity and shift gears comfortably
