We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Systems Engineer supporting one of our premier programs within Raytheon, an RTX Business. In this role, your experience with requirements clarification, systems engineering analysis, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and verification and validation will be critical to the success of next-generation satellite ground control mission systems. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do
• Support integration and test activities for new satellite ground control mission software, with a focus on Command and Control (C2) capabilities and Front-End Processors (FEPs)
• Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline
• Participate in technical reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer engagements in support of the program
• Analyze system behavior and investigate anomalies to support issue resolution and system performance improvements
• Support requirements development, system analysis, interface definition, and verification activities throughout the systems engineering lifecycle
• Collaborate with software, systems, integration, and test teams in an Agile development environment
• Contribute to mission-critical satellite command and control capabilities supporting national security objectives
Qualifications You Must Have
• Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience with Front-End Processors (FEPs) running Amergint operating systems and Command and Control systems supporting ground-to-satellite programs
• Experience with enterprise-level testing, anomaly investigation, and issue resolution
• Experience supporting Satellite Command and Control, Mission Management, and/or Mission Planning systems
• Active and transferable Top Secret/SCI U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
• Experience across the rsystems engineering lifecycle, including one or more of the following: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, requirements management, functional analysis and synthesis, interface definition and control, and verification and validation
• Experience supporting government contracts
• Experience with Agile and DevSecOps development methodologies
• Experience with software troubleshooting, integration, and testing activities
• Experience working with Linux operating systems
• Experience with Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, or similar platforms
• Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements management databases
• Experience working within DevOps and/or DevSecOps environments in support of Agile software development
• Experience supporting satellite ground system development, integration, or operations environments
• Experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Experience demonstrating strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
