Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers. The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Elkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Job Description:
Oversees and manages the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, contracts, suppliers, and customer representatives. Reviews status of project initiatives and budgets; manages tasks on schedule and prepares monthly expense reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, suppliers, and customer personnel. Manage daily office team operations for mature, established contracts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have 9 years of a combination of experience and related education including relevant Office Management experience
- Relevant management experience in a dynamic or entrepreneurial team environment
- Good organization skills and ability to work with minimal direction in a changing environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface with internal and external organizations at all levels
- Office inventory, procurement, and maintenance of office supplies including comprehensive record keeping and expense reporting
- Review and communicate project status and budgets and serve as primary POC/liaison with key stakeholders (internal & external)
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance, which US citizenship is a pre-requisite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Goal oriented self-starter with leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience with stakeholder relationship management
- Experience with daily office optimization projects to improve workflows and implement digital transformation strategy
- Ability to be the lead POC that closely collaborates with contractors, vendors, tradesmen, and professionals
- Experience supporting customers with global initiatives
- Customer service expertise as this position will require significant day to day communications with NG’s customers
- Active secret clearance
