We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly organised and detail-driven individual who enjoys working with data, spotting discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy.Job Description:
Working as part of a busy and supportive payroll team, the Payroll Administrator will play a key role in maintaining payroll compliance, supporting colleagues, and contributing to the smooth operation of the payroll function across the business.
While payroll experience is beneficial, we are equally interested in strong administrators with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of data with precision. Full training and support will be provided to develop your payroll knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately input, check, and validate large volumes of payroll data
Audit overtime, absence, and time & attendance records to ensure accuracy
Maintain and update employee records, including starters, leavers, and changes
Analyse payroll data and identify discrepancies, resolving issues promptly
Support the processing of monthly payrolls across UK and ROI
Produce reports and assist with data analysis and reconciliations
Maintain sickness and absence records and support statutory calculations (SSP, SMP, etc.)
Assist with payroll-related communications and documentation
Work to strict deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time
Provide administrative support to the wider payroll team
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
This role is best suited to someone who thrives in a data-driven environment and takes pride in accuracy.
Strong administration experience in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Confidence working with data input, spreadsheets, and systems
Ability to analyse information and identify errors or inconsistencies
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, data handling)
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Team player with a proactive and adaptable approach
Desirable
Previous experience in payroll or finance administration
Knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, or payroll processes
Exposure to time & attendance systems or large data sets
