We are looking for you to join our team as a Mechanical Technician based in McClellan, CA.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in equipment and machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems.
- Assemble and disassemble mechanical components for repair or upgrades.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Operate hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to solve complex problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Install new mechanical systems and upgrade existing ones.
- Test mechanical components for functionality and performance.
- Calibrate and adjust machinery settings for optimal performance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Fabricate parts using welding, machining, or other techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
- Read and Interpret a blueprint.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience with the use of a variety of hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Mig welding knowledge experience
- Basic Machining skills
- Forklift experience, Certs would be a plus
- Must be capable of obtaining and retaining a Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical knowledge, basic electrical wiring experience.
- Certified welder.
- Certified forklift operator
- Crane operator experience.
- Welding to blueprint.
- Machining to blueprint.
- 3D CAD software experience (example: Creo).
- Current and active Secret clearance.
