The Opportunity
This position works out of our Plymouth, MN location in the Structural Heart Supply Chain division.
The Supply Chain Global Planner plays a critical role in aligning customer demand with operational supply capabilities. Working with limited supervision, this position develops, maintains, and communicates manufacturing schedules that support production requirements and ensure timely delivery of finished goods to customers. The Global Planner is responsible for balancing demand and supply, optimizing inventory levels, and creating production schedules aimed at minimizing back orders and supporting key performance indicators related to customer service and product availability.
What You’ll Work On
Lead weekly cross-functional meetings with key stakeholders to ensure manufacturing schedules align with business requirements. Stakeholders may include representatives from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Marketing.
Implement inventory policies established by Supply Chain Management to effectively manage finished goods and raw material inventories.
Generate reports and perform data analysis to proactively identify, address, and resolve planning, scheduling, and supply chain issues.
Develop and communicate detailed finished goods production schedules that support approved build plans, ensuring manufacturing teams clearly understand production quantities, timing, and product mix requirements.
Release and manage work orders within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and maintain Kanban quantities to support production schedules.
Review demand forecasts, backorder reports, and purchasing updates, including early warning indicators, to prioritize and expedite production activities, minimizing customer backorders.
Maintain and update material master data to ensure planning accuracy, inventory integrity, and operational efficiency.
Partner with Purchasing to establish and manage appropriate safety stock levels for critical materials and finished goods.
Create and approve rework and special work orders within the ERP system as required.
Review open production jobs and update schedules to ensure work orders are appropriately prioritized, rescheduled, or closed.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Warehousing teams to reduce, manage, and disposition slow-moving, obsolete, and expiring inventory.
Generate operational reports and provide analysis to support purchasing, inventory management, and product line performance.
Support company initiatives and continuous improvement efforts while ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory standards.
Foster positive working relationships and maintain effective communication with employees, customers, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional business partners.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business or equivalent is preferred
• At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing schedule planning
• Intermediate experience utilizing MRP and ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Office, strong Excel skills
• Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
• 1 year of experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• APICS or other planning related certification preferred.

The base pay for this position is
$61,300.00 – $122,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
